Isn't cool yet?

I've been reading a lot of messaging blogs and I found this KoolIM. It is a web messenger services which supports AOL, ICQ, MSN, GTALK, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Sametime, RSS and a lot more. I tried it once and I find it interesting. This might be the next big web messenger though a lot of things has to be considered first. What I really like this one is that it opens a popup window if someone sends you a message just like other IM clients. You guys out there do check this out and have found.

If you like this one or have comment for this, just visit their site and contact them.

Meebo Me

Tired of using IM Clients? Well, I can't blame anyone, these stuff suck up more of your computer resources. It could slower their system especially those who still uses later hardware versions. You better try this!

Meebo is a web based IM that lets you log into your IM networks from any computer with a browser and internet connection with no firewall issues. It employs technologies (like AJAX) to make it act more like a desktop application, which dramatically improves usability. Many users enjoy the benefits of a native DHTML application, as it does not consume as many system resources as a Java applet (such as ICQ2Go or Yahoo Web Messenger).

Some users are also experimenting with setting meebo as their Active Desktop page to use meebo like a native Windows application for their instant-messaging purposes.

Meebo is a web messenger for IM services like MSN, GTalk, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber & AIM

ICQ ("I seek you")

ICQ was established in July 1996 by four young avid-computer users who wanted to introduce a new way of communication over the Internet.

Before ICQ, people were connected to the internet, but not interconnected. ICQ was the missing link, a technology that made peer-to-peer communication possible. The following year ICQ took the internet by storm. Through viral marketing a chain reaction was created, resulting in one of the largest download rates for a start-up company in the history of the Internet.

ICQ has always been technologically innovative. Not only was ICQ one of the first Internet wide instant messaging services, many features that make up the core of today’s IM services were first introduced by ICQ and appeared on its desktop client.

Today, Video, VoIP, and SMS features are seamlessly integrated within the client. Skins, emoticons, avatars and other personalization tools make ICQ the natural choice for millions of young users around the world.

ICQ is a personal communication tool that allows users to meet and interact, to catch up with old friends, to meet new friends and to hear the latest stories from the world wide community. ICQ is the one-stop-source for all types of communication, the tribe campfire of the virtual community where users meet to share feelings, experiences and content.
